On the evening of October 21st,the 25th anniversary of Smart's global fan carnival will be held grandly at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center.During this carnival event,the Smart Sprite#1 Platinum Edition will be officially launched,equipped with the Smart Pilot Assist 2.0 driving assistance system.This version will present the NSP intelligent navigation assistance function for the first time,gradually achieving point-to-point automatic navigation on highways and urban main roads,and supporting remote iterative upgrades through OTA.
In terms of appearance,the Smart Sprite#1 Platinum Edition has not made any changes to the original design,and there are not many fine-tuning for details.However,a careful friend must have noticed the addition of camera components on both sides and at the rear of the car,making it easy to determine whether this is a Smart Sprite#1 platinum version.In addition,based on the currently captured images,the Smart Sprite#1 Platinum Edition also features low drag wheels with carbon fiber decoration.
The Smart Sprite#1 Platinum Edition is the first high-end intelligent driving equipment equipped with the Smart Pilot Assist 2.0 intelligent driving assistance system(including NSP intelligent navigation assistance+HWP high-speed navigation assistance+Mobileye SuperVision system+Qualcomm 5G communication solution).The Mobileye SuperVision system is equipped with two Mobileye EyeQ5™The system integrated chip is custom-made using advanced 7-nanometer process technology.The Smart Pilot Assist 2.0 version built on it has NSP intelligent navigation assistance function,which can gradually achieve point-to-point automatic navigation on highways and urban main roads,including leading autonomous driving functions such as automatic overtaking and lane change assistance based on road traffic environment,automatic entry or exit of ramps,congestion assistance,etc.It also supports remote iterative upgrades through OTA,achieving partial functional expansion and performance upgrades.
At the 2023 Chengdu International Auto Show,Smart announced for the first time globally its technology iteration strategy in the field of intelligent driving:by the end of 2023,the Smart Pilot Assist 2.0 version will be launched,and the product line will be equipped with NSP intelligent navigation assistance function;Before the end of 2024,the Smart Pilot Assist 3.0 version will be launched,and the product line will be equipped with the NSP PRO advanced intelligent navigation assistance system.
